I grew up in the suburbs of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 2015 and then completed my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology – Movement Science from the Pennsylvania State University Main Campus in 2019. After taking a year away from school I attended Saint Francis University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and graduated in May of 2023. After passing the board examination, I was accepted into the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program offered by Upstream Rehab Institute. I graduated from their program in December 2024 and passed the specialist examination to become board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy in March of 2025.

I’ve been working as a physical therapist since 2023! Throughout graduate school, I completed four separate clinical rotations. Three of them were outpatient and one was an inpatient practice at UPMC Altoona. In the fall of 2023, I began working as a traveling physical therapist at an outpatient clinic in Hilton Head, South Carolina (I lived on the beach!). Beginning in January of 2024, I enrolled in Upstream Rehab Institute’s Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program and continued to work full time as an outpatient therapist at an outpatient clinic in Bolivia, North Carolina (also near the beach). During this time I accumulated over 1600 hours of clinical experience working with a variety of patients from younger athletes with sports injuries all the way to post-surgical patients with hip/knee/shoulder replacements, meniscectomies and meniscus repairs, Achilles tendon repairs, rotator cuff repairs, cervical and lumbar fusions, etc. 150 of these hours were under the direct supervision of a senior clinician with 14 years experience who was double board certified in sports and orthopaedics and also fellowship trained. After graduating from the program, I moved back to cold and snowy Pennsylvania and worked PRN as an outpatient therapist at a clinic in Bellefonte, PA while I prepared for the Specialist Examination in Orthopaedics. After passing the exam, Haley and I started our LLC and we now work out of No Excuses gym providing both personal training and physical therapy services to the surrounding community.

Sports were a huge part of my identity growing up. I participated in baseball, soccer, cross country, track and field and wrestling. As I got older I narrowed my focus to running and wrestling. In track and field I was an 800m and 1600m runner. I achieved all-state honors my senior year in wrestling by qualifying for the AAA state tournament and placing in the top 12. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in 2019, I took a year off from school and was a volunteer assistant coach for the Cedar Cliff Colts High School Wrestling team during their 2019-2020 season. Then throughout residency I trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

After graduating from Penn Cambria High School, I attended Saint Francis University where I completed my education to receive my Bachelors of Health Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During my graduate studies, I participated in a research study investigating strength curves of ankle invertor and evertor musculature, and their relationship to balance and stability performance. From this research, I went on to receive the SFU Physical Therapy Research Excellence award in 2023. I was also selected as an inductee to the National Physical Therapy Student Honor Society for demonstration of excellence, integrity, and professionalism in academic achievement, leadership, and service.

As a kid, I participated in track and field and basketball before finding my one true love: gymnastics. I trained at and competed for LTD Academy in Altoona, Pennsylvania. During my last year of competition, I qualified for the Pennsylvania USA Gymnastics State Championships but was unable to attend due to an ankle injury that ultimately led to an early end of my gymnastics career. Had I undergone proper rehabilitation, this would not have been the case. As a result, I am passionate about helping athletes return to the sport they love after injury.
